How to Remove Rust from your favorite kitchen Utensils

Rusty kitchen utensils is so annoying, This process as a whole causes the iron to corrode and turn into a brittle and breakable mass. Rust is the process of oxidation of iron in the form of red oxide due to the interaction of iron and oxygen in the presence of water or moist air. It is possible to completely avoid rust by making sure to keep metal household tools and tools dry by keeping them in dry places in the house or drying them continuously if water falls on them. If you already suffer from rust, here are several ways to remove rust from household tools and tools.

1- White vinegar: Vinegar reacts with rust and dissolves it from the surface of metals. You can dip the rusted tool into a cup full of vinegar, or if that is impossible, you can wipe the tool with a cloth soaked in vinegar.

2- Lemon and salt: Sprinkle salt over the rusty areas, then squeeze lemon juice over it and leave the mixture for 3 hours before you start removing it.

3- Baking soda and water: Mix baking soda with water until you notice that the mixture is thick enough to cover the affected pieces. Leave the mixture on the rusty areas for several hours, then remove it using a toothbrush.

4- Potatoes and dish washing soap: Cut the potato into two halves, put one of them in dish washing soap, then place this half on top of the rusty equipment and leave it for several hours. You can also use a mixture of water and baking soda instead of soap.

5- Exalic acid: For this method, it is preferable to take safety precautions, such as using rubber gloves, eye protection, and protective clothing. Do not smoke or inhale acid fumes. You can start by washing the equipment and drying it well before soaking it in a mixture of five tablespoons of Exalic acid mixed with a quarter liter of warm water for 20 minutes. Then clean the equipment with a cloth or copper brush, then wash and dry it well.
